Kathy Woolverton, President
Kathy Woolverton has more than twenty years of experience in business
management and technology strategy implementation in the software and Internet industries.
Ms. Woolverton has founded and run two other successful applied technology companies:
Synergy Computer Consulting Ltd. and OpenRoad Communications Ltd. Synergy, founded in 1989,
is a corporate systems integrator, specializing in custom business software development, and
high-end Internet-based business and commerce solutions. OpenRoad, founded in 1995 and sold
in 2001, specialized in e- business and e-commerce solutions. Ms. Woolverton is currently
focusing her considerable energy, expertise and enthusiasm on developing the SoftSearch business.
Ms. Woolverton is active in the business and technology communities. Her service has included
four-years as Director for the Technology Industries Association of BC (BC TIA), co-founding
BC TIA’s “Doing Business on the Internet” special interest group and serving as Vice President
of the Independent Computer Consultants Association. Ms. Woolverton completed two-year terms
as a Director and Treasurer, and five years as Finance Chair for a 65 unit housing complex.
Ms. Woolverton is a graduate of Simon Fraser University’s Management in Advanced Technology program,
holds Diplomas in Business and Information Systems Management, is a graduate of Forum for Women
Entrepreneurs’ E-Series, and has received the Canadian Information Systems Professional designation
(I.S.P.). She is a former professional competitive swim coach and university water polo player.
Ms. Woolverton was nominated for VanCity Credit Union’s Ethics in Action Award (1997) and
Entrepreneur of the Year (1997 and 1999).
Juan Carlos Gómez Rosas, Marketing
Juan Carlos Gómez is a very talented and experienced, marketing professional.
He is responsible for producing branding and marketing collateral and imaging for SoftSearch, as
well as providing marketing collateral for our affiliate partners to promote our new joint offering
in their publications and newsletters and at “point of purchase”. Talented in leading, teaching and
inspiring employees. Formerly a Senior Graphic Design Coordinator for GlaxoSmithKline, a world
leading pharmaceutical company, with an estimated seven percent of the world's pharmaceutical market;
for the largest transit advertising company in Mexico and for Mexicana Airlines (Mexicana de Aviación).

Debra Tibey
Ms. Tibey has been in the IT Industry for over 24 years and has held various
senior management positions in sales and marketing. Debra has extensive experience working from
1988 through 2000 for Ingram Micro; the world’s largest distributor of technology solutions, products
and services. During her prior 12 year tenure with Ingram Micro, Ms. Tibey held various leadership
positions, ultimately serving as Senior Vice President of Sales. Her staff consisted of 1,400
associates and domestic revenue exceeded $16 billion in sales. Prior to joining Ingram Micro,
she served as Vice President and General Manager of Export for Aakasoft, a European software
distributor, and Director of Sales and Marketing for Creighton Development - a software developer.
Debra is an owner of Health Zones; an educational resource company that predominately serves the
healthcare industry. Ms. Tibey is a Director of Pomeroy IT Solutions, a Nasdaq-listed US technology
company.
Christina Ellwood
A seasoned senior executive, Christina has over 20 years experience in the
technology industry. She is the President and CEO of Moreland Associates, a marketing consulting
firm specializing in technology companies, which she founded in 2000. Her clients include technology
start-ups, services providers, and enterprises. Active organizer with SVASE (the Silicon Valley
Association of Startup Entrepreneurs). Prior to Moreland, she founded and served as President and
CEO of OfficePlease Inc., an intranet software company and ASP and currently serves as the Chairman
for the OfficePlease Foundation. Prior to OfficePlease, she was the VP of Marketing for Sentient
Networks a telecom switch manufacturer, until their acquisition by Cisco Systems. Christina is
known for her strong, clear leadership and drive.
Matt Kirmayer
Matt Kirmayer: is with Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C. in
their Palo Alto office, and a former partner with Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP in San Francisco
office. Corporate Practice Group as well as the Venture Capital/Emerging Company Growth Group.
Mr. Kirmayer maintains a general corporate and securities practice, and primarily represents emerging
technology companies as well as venture capital and private equity funds in their formation and
investment transactions. Mr. Kirmayer started his legal career in New York City and, maintains a
practice handling securities and technology matters for New York money-center banks. Mr. Kirmayer
handles transactions ranging from seed stage financings for start-ups through IPOs, leveraged buyouts,
M&A transactions and general counseling and securities compliance work.

Jason Altieri
Jason Altieri is with Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C. in
their Palo Alto office, and a former partner of Sonnenschein's Corporate Practice Group as well
as the Venture Capital/Emerging Company Growth Group. Mr. Altieri is involved in a broad range of
matters for public and private companies in the technology, medical device and retail sectors. His
transactional experience is broad in that he handles venture capital financings, public equity and
debt financings and a broad array of M&A transactions. Mr. Altieri has a strong reputation as a
venture attorney representing both portfolio companies and venture firms in a broad array of
transactions, including venture finance, M&A and public offerings. Prior to joining Sonnenschein,
Mr. Altieri was with Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati PC in Palo Alto, California.
Gary Meehan
Gary brings 25 years of experience in operational, administrative and people
management roles, within high-tech/internet, computer retail, and distribution/wholesale
environments. Former President of Onvia.com Canada. He built and led the Canadian subsidiary of
Onvia.com, an online computer products reseller with operations of 70 staff and annual sales over
$20M. During his tenure the Canadian business experienced tremendous growth from it’s Small Business
Products & Services model and the parent company’s successful NASDAQ IPO, and won numerous awards.
Mr. Meehan also oversaw company-wide operations at Doppler Computer Superstores through its high
growth years of 1992-1998, managing Purchasing, Operations and Inventory, across 4 locations. Mr.
Meehan holds an MBA from Simon Fraser University.
Peter Parrish
Peter is an experienced corporate executive, having held senior management
positions with a variety of established US and Canadian corporations including President and
COO Doppler Computer Superstores, Vice President Future Shop, and Sr. Vice President CBS/A&A Records.
Currently a Partner in The Signal Group. He has worked with emerging information technology-related
businesses, helping them grow into viable and sustainable enterprises.

Glen Kayll
Glen was Treasurer and a former Investor Relation representative of PMC-Sierra—
a broadly held Nasdaq-listed US technology company which is included in the S&P 500 and the
Nasdaq-100 indices. He is a Chartered Accountant and has extensive experience with merger's and
acquisitions, financing, accounting, securities law and tax. Achievements include: Assisted the CFO
on the acquisition of one public and seven private companies totaling over US$4 billion and
spanning four countries. Independently closed two mergers worth US$450 million. Venture financed
US$75 million in multiple strategic limited partnerships, incubators, and private technology companies.
Raised US$275 million in a marketed convertible bond offering. Directly responsible for 15 sell-side
analyst relationships and managed 2,000% growth in institutional and retail stockholders.
Managed financial assets totaling over US$600 million with average yields consistently exceeding
benchmark averages. Prepared board presentation materials on the state of the market, competitive
positioning, and financial performance.
Praveen Varshney
Praveen of Varshney Capital, is a Chartered Accountant and serves as a director
or officer of each of the Varshney Capital Corp. portfolio companies. Mr. Varshney has been a member
of the Vancouver chapter of The Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO) since 1996 and is past chapter
President. He is also a founding director of the Vancouver chapter of The IndUS Entrepreneurs (TiE)
and served on the chapter board from 1999 to 2002. Mr. Varshney is a member of the Sauder School
of Business Faculty Advisory Board and a past recipient of Business in Vancouver's 40 Under 40 Awards.
He's also a director of the Varshney Family Charitable Foundation, a founding director of charity
United Animal Way, and on the Advisory Board of Room to Read Canada.
David Dunnison
David brings over 18 years of leadership level experience at a range of national
and international leading companies including Ballard Power, Dole Inc., Accuzone Systems and Protexis
Inc., a software licensing solutions developer. He has successfully launched and led businesses in
software/new media, PC connectivity, energy technology and manufacturing sectors.

Having led organizations from 10 to 850 people, she credits her success in turn-arounds, start-ups,
high-growth, merger integrations and divestitures, to the combination of good business strategy with
leadership development. Susan knows and understands the business challenges and leadership
transformation required to grow profitable businesses. She offers insight gained from her strong track
record in entrepreneurial high-growth companies which includes: the turn-around of Digitrol in 1983,
the founding of Tallgrass Canada in 1984 ($7 Million), and the growth of Merisel Canada from
$13 Million and 15 people in 1987 to $565 Million and 450 people in 1994. As Merisel was one of the
top 3 distributors of mass market software (and computer hardware), Susan provides insight into this
sector of the software market, how to manage sales growth, how to streamline operations, how to
work with resellers, in addition to international high tech sales and how to manage high volume growth. |
