Business Markets Development Representative
Essential Responsibilities:
- Research, identify and evaluate organizations which are strategic to SoftSearch’s business plans
- Develop call plans and establish and build relationships with organizations for strategic partnerships
- Identify and contact targeted software publishers and developers
- Sign distribution/referral agreements with publishers and negotiate & secure agreements with partners
- Manage, maintain and implement programs and relationships with partners and publishers, e.g. reporting, pricing, customer service, site modifications and on-going communication
- Create & deliver phone/email presentations & coordinate co-marketing opportunities
- Assist with the development of collateral, tools and marketing materials & general sales efforts
- Work with other departments as necessary, e.g. internet implementation with technical developers
Qualification Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Experience in proactive, outbound cold-calling
- Experience in, or working knowledge of high technology or Internet sales & marketing preferred.
- Experience in partnership sales or marketing—especially vertical markets—2+ years preferred.
- Demonstrated sales abilities and success in reaching sales targets
- Completion of a relevant post-secondary education program preferred
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Good knowledge and understanding of e-commerce and the computer software industry, including software applications and terminology.
- Experienced computer & Internet user, minimum Intermediate skills with MS Office suite; preferably also with experience in using contact management software.
- Strong sales, people and telephone skills. Marketing skills or experience is an asset.
- Excellent written and spoken English and an outgoing, self-motivated & excellent work ethic.

Software Database Cataloguer
Basic Responsibilities:
- Research to locate new and updated software products entering the marketplace. Enter a summary of each product and developer into a database.
- Approve new listings of developers or software products entered over the Internet.
- Update software application database information as products & publishers change.
- Assist customers wanting to look up software to meet a particular need.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Experienced computer user, familiar with word processing, databases, and/or the Internet.
- Understanding of the computer industry, particularly software applications and jargon.
- Good customer service, interpersonal and keyboarding skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
Required Characteristics:
- Self motivated & excellent work ethic
- Strong attention to detail
